Manchester University Settlement Activities, 1899

This page from the 1899 Annual Report of the University Settlement describes the range of activities and support provided for the local community. Most of the classes, clubs, lectures and entertainments were held at the Art Museum. Athough the details of the programme varied from year to year, this timetable of religious, aesthetic and political education, combined with concerts, walks and children's play, was typical.
